This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited non thunderstorm wind risk.
  Significant fire weather risk.

DISCUSSION...

Elevated to significant fire weather potential will continue this
afternoon as gusty west to northwesterly winds of 20 to 25 mph
combine with afternoon relative humidity values between 20 to 30
percent. Winds will gradually weaken from west to east this
afternoon into early this evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Elevated to locally significant fire weather potential will occur
again across portions of the area on Saturday, especially west of
Springfield. Gusty southwesterly winds of 25 to 35 mph will
combine with afternoon relative humidity values between 25 and 30
percent Saturday.

Thunderstorm chances return to the region late Monday into
Tuesday. There will be the potential for some strong to severe
storms on Tuesday. Confidence in details are still low at this
time therefore stay tuned for additional updates.

Gusty southwesterly winds will develop Monday, Tuesday, and
Wednesday of next week however the highest wind gusts are expected
on Tuesday.

Additional thunderstorm chances return Thursday.
