This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited lightning risk.
Elevated excessive rainfall risk.
Elevated non thunderstorm wind risk.
Limited frost risk.

DISCUSSION...

Widespread shows and heavy rain to persist through the day, with
heaviest rainfall amounts in the corridor along and southeast of
I-44 where the strongest rain bands set up and train. Rainfall
totals of 2-3" within this corridor will cause flooding of low
water crossings. A few embedded thunderstorms with cloud to ground
lightning will be possible.

Thunderstorms are possible again tonight with the cold frontal
passage, but are expected to remain below severe limits. The cold
front will drop temperatures to near or a few degrees below
freezing early Tuesday morning, introducing a limited frost risk.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Colder temperatures arrive next week with morning low temps at or
below freezing Tuesday through Thursday mornings. Those with
sensitive outdoor vegetation will need to take the proper
precautions, especially on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
