(Sunday through Friday) Issued at 257 AM CDT Sat Mar 23 2024 Not much has changed in the forecast for the longer term, with the best chance of storms coming Sunday night. Dryline shifts east into the area on Sunday afternoon with gusty southwest winds following in its wake. Aloft cap is strong and doesn`t appear like instability will be enough to overcomes it. Dryline shifts back west, likely back west of a San Angelo to Abilene line. Pacific front overtakes the dryline and this may be enough to break the cap and get convection going. Best chances will be across the Heartland and Hill Country mainly late in the evening and into the early morning hours on Monday. Cooler on Monday behind the Pacific front, and then even cooler on Tuesday as another front moves south into the area and bring a little cooler air mass into the area. Next shortwaves drops into the trough and across the ares on Wednesday and brings a slight chance of showers and storms into the Big Country and Heartland. Warming trend starts on Thursday with readings climbing well back into the 80s for the weekend.
