...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM AST THIS AFTERNOON...
...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall and excessive runoff is expected.
* WHERE...Coamo, Penuelas, Ponce and Villalba.
* WHEN...Until 445 PM AST.
* IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become
impassable. River or stream flows are elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 250 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated moderate to heavy rain
due to thunderstorms. However, this activity has subsided
somewhat. Additional rains and excessive runoff will cause
urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
