.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 313 AM EDT Tue Apr 23 2024

A benign weather pattern will set up over the area as upper level
troughing has moved off the eastern seaboard allowing for a quasi-
zonal pattern to set up over Florida. On the surface, broad high
pressure over the mid-Atlantic states ridges southwestward over
Florida and into the Gulf of Mexico. This will keep rain-free
conditions and near seasonal temperatures over the area through mid-
week. Daytime highs today will top out in the low to mid 80`s and
overnight lows in the mid 50`s to low 60`s. The high pressure center
moves east of Florida by Wednesday allowing for a warming trend to
set up over the state. Above average temperatures and rain-free
conditions expected from mid-week through the weekend. By Thursday
and into the weekend, daytime highs will top out in the mid 80`s
along the coast and low 90`s over the interior. Overnight lows will
drop only into the 60`s for the latter part of the week and into the
weekend.
