.DISCUSSION...
Expect a 25 to 30 degree drop in temperatures today as a cold
front sinks south of the region. This front will stall across
central and southwest VA bringing multiple opportunities for
beneficial rainfall today through the upcoming weekend. It will
not be raining all the time, with greatest coverage likely
occurring today through Saturday as waves of low pressure pass
long the front stalled to south. Temperatures will remain at or
well below average through early next week.
Additional rainfall amounts of one to three inches with locally
higher amounts are possible over the next several days. Overall look
at rain amounts of a half to three quarters of an inch each
afternoon through the weekend.
