.APRIL 2018 WAS COLDER THAN NORMAL AT ASHLAND WI...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR APRIL WAS 32.5 DEGREES. THIS WAS 7.1
DEGREES BELOW THE NORMAL OF 39.6 DEGREES MAKING THIS THE 3RD COLDEST
APRIL IN STATION HISTORY. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS
76 DEGREES ON THE 30TH. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE WAS 4 DEGREES ON THE
8TH. ONE DAILY TEMPERATURE RECORD WAS BROKEN FOR THE MONTH AND ONE
TIED. ON THE 14TH THE RECORD DAILY COLD HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 29
DEGREES TIED THE PREVIOUS RECORD SET IN 1893. ON THE 15TH THE RECORD
DAILY COLD HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 27 DEGREES WAS SET. THIS BROKE THE
PREVIOUS RECORD OF 30 DEGREES SET IN 1949. FOUR DAYS HAD AVERAGE
TEMPERATURES ABOVE NORMAL.

MONTH AND WARM TO THE LOW TO MID 40S BY THE END OF THE MONTH. NORMAL
PRECIPITATION FOR MAY IS 3.07 INCHES. THE LATEST CLIMATE PREDICTION
CENTER OUTLOOK INDICATES THAT ODDS ARE TILTED TOWARD ABOVE NORMAL
TEMPERATURES AND SLIGHTLY TILTED TOWARD ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION.
