.JANUARY 2018 WAS WARMER AND DRIER THAN NORMAL AT DULUTH MN...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR JANUARY WAS 11.0 DEGREES WHICH WAS 0.8
DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 10.2 DEGREES. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE
FOR THE MONTH WAS 45 DEGREES ON THE 26TH. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE WAS
-22 DEGREES ON THE 6TH. FOURTEEN DAYS HAD AVERAGE TEMPERATURES BELOW
NORMAL.

JANUARY 2018 WAS BELOW NORMAL FOR PRECIPITATION WITH A TOTAL OF 0.63
INCHES OF PRECIPITATION RECORDED FOR THE MONTH. THIS WAS 0.33 INCHES
BELOW THE NORMAL OF 0.96 INCHES. THE GREATEST AMOUNT OF
PRECIPITATION IN A 24 HOUR PERIOD OCCURRED ON THE 11TH WHEN 0.27
INCHES WAS RECORDED. AT LEAST A TRACE OF PRECIPITATION WAS RECORDED

WARM TO THE UPPER 20S AT THE END OF THE MONTH. NORMAL LOWS FOR THE
MONTH START IN THE SINGLE DIGITS ABOVE ZERO AND WARM TO THE LOW TEENS
AT THE END OF THE MONTH. NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR FEBRUARY IS 0.81
INCHES.  NORMAL SNOWFALL FOR FEBRUARY IS 12.4 INCHES. THE LATEST
CLIMATE PREDICTION CENTER OUTLOOK INDICATES THAT ODDS ARE TILTED
TOWARD BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND SLIGHTLY TILTED TOWARD ABOVE
NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY.
