.AUGUST 2018 SAW NEAR NORMAL TEMPERATURES WITH BELOW NORMAL
PRECIPITATION AT HIBBING MN...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR AUGUST WAS 62.7 DEGREES. THIS WAS 0.3
DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 62.4 DEGREES. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE
FOR THE MONTH WAS 87 DEGREES ON THE 13TH. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE WAS
36 DEGREES ON THE 30TH. NO DAILY TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE BROKEN FOR
THE MONTH.

AUGUST 2018 WAS BELOW NORMAL FOR PRECIPITATION WITH A TOTAL OF 1.08
INCHES OF PRECIPITATION RECORDED FOR THE MONTH. THIS WAS 2.06 INCHES
BELOW THE NORMAL OF 3.14 INCHES...MAKING THIS THE 7TH DRIEST AUGUST
IN STATION HISTORY. THE GREATEST AMOUNT OF PRECIPITATION IN A 24
HOUR PERIOD OCCURRED ON THE 24TH WHEN 0.29 INCHES WAS RECORDED. AT
LEAST A TRACE OF PRECIPITATION WAS RECORDED ON 10 DAYS. AT LEAST
0.01 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION FELL ON 9 DAYS. AT LEAST 0.10 INCHES
FELL ON 5 DAYS. NO DAILY PRECIPITATION RECORDS WERE BROKEN FOR THE
MONTH.
