.Summary...
August is usually the second warmest month of the year, but that wasn`t
the case in 2018. While it`s true temperatures were warmer this year
compared to last, the month on the whole ended up nearly a degree below
average. Highs never got above 94 degrees, and lows were frequently in
the 60s, and briefly dropped into the 50s on one day. The high of 71
on the 23rd marked the coolest high temperature in the month of August
in ten years (since 2008).

Rainfall was above average, and it was the wettest August in two years.

below average. The average low temperature was the warmest since 2016.
