THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE IN AUGUST 2018 WAS WELL ABOVE NORMAL. IN
FACT, THE DEGREE OF WARMTH MADE AUGUST 2018 THE 10TH WARMEST AUGUST
ON RECORD. IT WAS THE WARMEST AUGUST SINCE 2016, WHEN THE AVERAGE
TEMPERATURE WAS 79.4 DEGREES.

MONTHLY PRECIPITATION WAS 205 PERCENT OF NORMAL. THIS MADE AUGUST
2018 THE 3RD WETTEST ON RECORD. IT WAS THE WETTEST AUGUST SINCE
1984, WHEN 10.71 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION FELL.

A DAILY RECORD MAXIMUM TOTAL PRECIPITATION OF 1.09 INCHES WAS SET ON
AUGUST 1ST. THIS BROKE THE OLD RECORD OF 0.91 INCHES SET BACK IN
