...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/
SUNDAY...

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Southwest North Carolina and East Tennessee,
  including the following areas, in Southwest North Carolina,
  Cherokee and Clay. In East Tennessee, Bledsoe, Blount Smoky
  Mountains, Bradley, Cocke Smoky Mountains, East Polk,
  Hamilton, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, NW
  Blount, North Sevier, Northwest Cocke, Northwest Monroe, Rhea,
  Roane, Sequatchie, Sevier Smoky Mountains, Southeast Greene,
  Southeast Monroe, and West Polk.

* Until 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/ Sunday

* Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall are expected through this
  morning as a cold front and associated thunderstorms move
  through. Additional rainfall will range from half an inch to
  around an inch, with locally higher amounts.

* Given the already saturated soil and high stream flows, the
  additional moderate to heavy rains will likely cause
  significant stream flooding, roadway flooding, mud slides, and
  main stem river flooding. Potentially life threatening
  flooding is possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy
rain...which may lead to flooding in and near the watch area.  Be
alert for rising water or water over roadways.  Keep informed...
and be ready for action if flooding is observed or if a flood
warning is issued. If you come to a closed or flooded road...turn
around! Don`t drown!

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, including
  the following areas, in East Tennessee, Anderson, Campbell,
  Claiborne, Grainger, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson,
  Morgan, Northwest Carter, Northwest Greene, Scott TN,
  Southeast Carter, Sullivan, Unicoi, Union, and Washington TN.
  In Southwest Virginia, Lee, Russell, Scott, Washington, and
  Wise.

* Until 7 AM EST Sunday

* Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall will overspread the region
  through this morning. Additional rainfall accumulation of
  around 1 to 2 inches is possible with localized amounts up to 3
  inches.


* Given the already saturated soil and high stream flows, the
  additional moderate to heavy rains will likely cause
  significant stream flooding, roadway flooding, mud slides, and
  main stem river flooding. Potentially life threatening
  flooding is possible.
