Weather Summary for Eastern Nebraska and Southwest Iowa

Abundant sunshine allowed for warmer temperatures today with 4 PM
readings in the mid 50s to around 60. Winds were east at 15 to 25
mph. A strong low pressure system track across northern Kansas
tonight with showers and a few thunderstorms developing overnight
across portions of eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Later tonight
into Wednesday morning, colder air will filter into the area on the
backside of the low pressure with rain changing over to light snow
across northeast Nebraska and west-central Iowa. Some 1 to 3 inch
accumulations are possible and a winter weather advisory is in effect
for Wednesday morning. Lows tonight will be in the upper 20s to
upper 30s.

The light snow should shift east of the mid Missouri Valley by
Wednesday afternoon with gusty northwest winds of 15 to 30 mph.
Temperatures will be cooler and in the upper 30s to mid 40s.
