Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Northern IL and Northwest IN
National Weather Service Chicago/Romeoville IL
410 PM CDT Thu Apr 18 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Rain and embedded thunderstorms (mainly south of I-80) will
persist through the evening before precipitation gradually ends
from west to east after midnight. Tomorrow will be blustery with
westerly winds gusting near 30 mph, especially near the Wisconsin
state line, ushering in a rapidly drying airmass. Relatively wet
fuels should curtail a more pronounced threat for fire spread,
however.

Cooler and precipitation-free conditions are then expected Friday
and through the weekend with high temperatures on each day
currently forecasted to be in the 50s across the area.
