...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southwestern
Cherokee, northern Cobb and southeastern Bartow Counties through 315
AM EDT...

At 224 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was over Oak Grove, or 8 miles
north of Marietta, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind, pea sized hail and frequent cloud to
         ground lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects.

Marietta, Canton, Mountain Park, Kennesaw, Woodstock, Acworth, Holly
Springs, Emerson, White Water Park, Sweat Mountain, Kellogg Creek,
Red Top Mountain State Park, Oak Grove, Kennesaw State University,
Little River Landing, George Washington Carver St Pk, Lebanon, Sandy
Plains, Sutallee, and Hobgood Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
