Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

Near average high temperatures in the mid to upper 60s were
observed on Thursday. No precipitation was observed during the
past 24 hours. At 5 AM MDT this morning, the sky was mostly
cloudy, the wind was from the southeast at 10 to 15 mph and
temperatures were in the lower to mid 40s.

OUTLOOK... Another round of severe weather is anticipated this
afternoon and evening, as a cold front surges southeastward
through the region. Breezy south winds and above average
temperatures are expected in advance of the front this afternoon,
with highs in the 70s. Breezy to strong north winds will usher a
cooler airmass into the region this evening, with overnight lows
bottoming out at 32 to 40 degrees, coldest in northeast Colorado.
Benign weather and near average temperatures will follow, on
Saturday. An active spring weather pattern will return late this
weekend and early next week, as a potent low pressure system
develops and intensifies over the central United States.
