...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM EDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN GUILFORD COUNTY...

At 922 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Bethany to 6 miles south of Monroeton to near
McLeansville, moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Greensboro, McLeansville, Summerfield, Gibsonville, Haw River State
Park, Lake Guilford Mackintosh Marina, Lake Townsend Marina, Lake
Townsend, Lake Jeanette Marina, and Monticello.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for central North
Carolina.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
