At 328 PM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers, some with heavy rain generally east of a line from
Bartlesville to McAlester. They were most widespread and heaviest in
Craig county in Oklahoma. The precipitation was in the Tulsa, Fort
Smith and Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville areas. Movement was
to the northeast at around 20 mph. The average amount where it
rained last hour was around one tenth of an inch with maximum
amounts of an inch to an inch and a half. Coverage and intensity
decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late
this afternoon and into this evening, slight a chance of
thunderstorms with showers likely and temperatures 63 to 66 degrees
along with northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
