At 528 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain generally in
southeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. They were most widespread
and heaviest in Pittsburg county in Oklahoma and Franklin and
Madison counties in Arkansas. The precipitation was in the
Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville area. Movement was to the east
at around 15 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was
around one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of an inch to an
inch and a half. Intensity decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa
area forecast for early this morning, mostly cloudy, a slight chance
of showers and thunderstorms with temperatures 62 to 64 degrees and
northeast winds up to 10 mph.
