Generalized Statewide Coastal Waters Forecast for Hawaii
National Weather Service Honolulu HI
906 AM HST Fri Dec 12 2025

.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
A dissipating front over the eastern nearshore waters will keep
breezes light and either north or variable today. Gentle winds
will veer around to the east southeast by tonight and become more
southerly Saturday as the islands fall downstream of the next
approaching front from the northwest. This front is expected to
come across the the western island coastal waters late Saturday
into early Sunday. Southwest winds along the boundary may briefly
strengthen to Small Craft Advisory speeds around Kauai Saturday
night. Numerous showers with locally heavy rain and isolated
thunderstorms are possible in association with this frontal
passage. A moderate size northwest swell will likely elevate seas
to advisory levels Sunday and Monday.
