...Heavy Rainfall May Cause Flooding In Central Alabama...

.A line of thunderstorms will slow down over Central Alabama and
not clear the area until late tonight. This could result in some
flash flooding. Poor drainage and low lying areas will be the
most prone to this flooding. Additionally, rises on rivers and
creeks are anticipated.

The Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Alabama, northwest
Alabama, and west central Alabama has been cancelled. Heavy rain
has ended and moved east. Therefore, the flooding threat has
ended.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CDT SUNDAY...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* Portions of central Alabama, east central Alabama, northeast
  Alabama, and west central Alabama, including the following
  areas, in central Alabama, Autauga, Bibb, Blount, Chilton,
  Coosa, Dallas, Jefferson, Lowndes, Perry, Shelby, St. Clair,
  and Talladega. In east central Alabama, Calhoun. In northeast
  Alabama, Etowah. In west central Alabama, Hale and Marengo.

* Until 5 AM CDT Sunday

* Rainfall totals of two to five inches, with higher isolated
  totals, could result in flooding of poor drainage and low
  lying areas, as well as rises along rivers and creeks.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
