***GUSTY NE`RLY WINDS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS ACROSS THE
 NEUSE RIVER***

Low pressure well offshore has pinched the gradient across Eastern
North Carolina allowing for winds to remain elevated this
morning. With winds remaining NE`rly, winds have funneled into
the Neuse River this morning allowing for elevated gusts of 25+
kts to occur, especially along the mouth of the Neuse near the
Pamlico Sound. While these winds are currently elevated current
forecast calls for winds to gradually ease over the next 2-3 hours
as the aforementioned low pulls away from the region and the
gradient relaxes. At which point still expecting wind gusts
around 15-20 kts but they should remain well below 25 kts by this
afternoon.
