...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR EASTERN HAAKON...SOUTHEASTERN
ZIEBACH AND NORTHEASTERN JACKSON COUNTIES UNTIL 945 PM MDT...

At 928 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles west of Cherry Creek to 7 miles
northeast of Ottumwa to near Okaton. Movement was northeast at 35
mph.

Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Eagle Butte, Cherry Creek, Midland, South Eagle Butte, Kirley and
Intersection of Highway 63 and BIA Road 8.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
