WEATHER SYNOPSIS

WHAT SEEMS TO BE A NEVER ENDING CYCLE OF COLD AIR INVADING THE
REGION WILL BRING ANOTHER CHANCE OF NEAR FREEZING TEMPERATURES AND
FROST TO THE QUAD STATE REGION LATE THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY
MORNING.

A FREEZE WARNING HAS BEEN POSTED FOR MAINLY THE INTERSTATE 64
COUNTIES IN SOUTHWEST INDIANA AND PART OF SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS FOR
LATE THURSDAY NIGHT, AS HIGH PRESSURE SETTLES ACROSS THE AREA.
THE REMAINDER OF THE QUAD STATE REGION WILL REMAIN UNDER A FROST
ADVISORY THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY MORNING.

HIGH TEMPERATURES THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK WILL REMAIN SOME
5 TO 10 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL, HOLDING IN THE LOWER AND MIDDLE 60S.

A WEATHER DISTURBANCE MOVING ONSHORE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WILL
WORK ITS WAY TOWARD THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY BY SUNDAY,
BRINGING A CHANCE OF RAIN TO THE REGION SUNDAY INTO MONDAY.
ANOTHER CHANCE FOR RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE BY MID-WEEK AS A WEATHER
DISTURBANCE SWINGS SOUTHWARD INTO THE AREA FROM THE UPPER PLAINS
AND MIDWEST.

THE MID-WEEK WEATHER SYSTEM WILL BRING ANOTHER ROUND OF COOLER AIR
TO THE AREA.
