This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

This afternoon, near-critical fire weather conditions are likely
across the outlook area, along with more localized, briefly-
critical conditions in some places south of Interstate 80. This
will be due to the combination of north-northwest winds gusting 25
to 35 MPH, and relative humidity as low as 18 to 25 percent.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Very late tonight into Wednesday morning, at least patchy frost
development cannot be ruled out in some areas mainly along and
northeast of a Greeley to York line in Nebraska, but sub-freezing
temperatures are not anticipated.

Thunderstorm chances return Thursday and continue off and on into
the weekend. Some storms Thursday late evening and overnight may
be strong to severe, especially near and south of Interstate 80.
Another round of severe thunderstorms cannot be ruled out during
the day Friday mainly in eastern parts of our area, but this will
depend on factors such as how quickly a front is able to sweep
through the region, and perhaps also by how prior thunderstorm
activity unfolds Thursday night into Friday morning.

Additional thunderstorm chances are in the forecast between
Saturday evening and Sunday night.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
