This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.

AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas.
ONSET...Late afternoon.

AREA...Northeast Oklahoma.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered showers continue early this afternoon in association with an
upper level low currently over northeast Texas. This activity will continue
to slide off to the south as the day wears on. A few additional showers and
even a thunderstorm will be possible late this afternoon as a cold front
moves through the region. Gusty northerly winds are forecast to pick up
behind the cold front later this afternoon across northeast Oklahoma
and continue into the evening hours.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Southerly winds return Saturday night and become gusty Sunday
ahead of another low pressure system and associated cold front
forecast to move through Monday. Shower and thunderstorm chances
ramp up Sunday and increase in coverage Sunday night into Monday
as the low pressure and cold front move through. A few storms could
be strong to severe during this time. Locally heavy rainfall is also
possible with the stronger storms Sunday night into Monday.
