Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.0 inch high pressure over southeast Minnesota
will move to Lower Michigan today while 29.4 inch low pressure
remains over Hudson Bay. As the high moves to the Mid Atlantic
States on Tuesday, a 29.9 inch trough will drop southeast to Lake
Superior. A 29.6 inch low pressure will then develop along the
trough as it reaches southern Quebec Wednesday night and Thursday.
Meanwhile, a high pressure ridge of 30.2 inches extending from
northern Manitoba to the Northern Plains Wednesday morning will
drift east, settling over the western Great Lakes Thursday
afternoon through Friday.
