This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Marginal thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Limited lightning risk.
  Significant excessive heat risk.

DISCUSSION...

Afternoon temperatures will warm back into the mid 90s with heat
index values in the 100 to 109 degree range.

A few thunderstorms may make it into central Missouri tonight. If
they do, the stronger storms would be capable of damaging wind
gusts up to 60 mph. Most of the thunderstorm activity however
should remain north of the area.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

The excessive heat will continue Mondy through the end of next
week with highs generally in the mid 90s and heat index values
from 100 to 110 each day.

An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect from 12 PM today until 7 PM
Thursday.
