Cloudcroft, Sunspot, Apache Summit, Mayhill, Pinon, Sacramento,
and Crow Flats

.NOW...
At 145 PM MDT, isolated showers and thunderstorms were located
along the east slopes of the Sacramento Mountains in Otero County.
These storms were producing heavy rains, small hail, and gusty
outflow winds up to 40 mph. We expect thunderstorm activity to
continue over the mountains over the next couple hours, with
additional development across the Otero lowlands and possibly far
west Texas later this evening.

The main threats tonight will be localized flooding due to heavy
rains, along with sudden wind shifts due to thunderstorm outflows.
Rain chances will diminish around midnight tonight.

.NOW...
At 145 PM MDT, isolated showers and thunderstorms have developed
over portions of the Gila Wilderness in Grant County. The
strongest storms were located near Mimbres, with heavy rains
occurring. Thunderstorm activity west of the Rio Grande is
expected to remain fairly weak this afternoon with drier air in
place over western New Mexico.

The main weather threats this afternoon will be localized flooding
due to heavy rains with a wind gusts up to 40 mph possible.
