The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet 20-60 nm...

* Until 1115 PM EDT.

* At 1038 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located 51 nm east of Port Canaveral, moving east
  at 15 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and large
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can can quickly form and capsize boats,
           damage vessels and create locally hazardous seas. Make
           sure all on board are wearing life jackets. Expect wind
           gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher waves,
           lightning and heavy downpours. Make sure all on board are
           wearing life jackets. Return to safe harbor if possible.
           Large hail could result in injury and damage to boats.

* The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
Wind gusts 34 knots or greater, large hail, high waves, dangerous
lightning, and heavy rain are possible with this storm.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
