Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge dominates the Gulf waters producing moderate
to locally fresh SE winds over the western Gulf, and mainly
gentle to moderate E to SE winds over the eastern part of the
basin. The pressure gradient between the ridge and lower
pressures in Texas and Mexico will support fresh to occasionally
strong winds in the western half of the Gulf Wed night into the
weekend. Moderate or weaker winds will prevail in the eastern
half of the Gulf. Winds will pulse to strong speeds nightly near
and to the NW of the Yucatan Peninsula due to local effects
induced by a thermal trough.
