Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
315 PM MDT Sun Apr 22 2018

.Discussion...

Isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms will be
possible through Monday evening. Activity will be confined to the
mountains this evening but may extend eastward along the Palmer
and Raton Ridges by Monday evening.

Monday night through Tuesday evening, rain and snow showers will
be possible over the area. The snow showers would mainly be confined
to the higher mountain areas Monday evening but could lower to around
6,000 feet by late Monday night through Tuesday evening. At this time,
only light accumulations are expected.

The forecast for the middle and latter part of next week is pretty
uncertain right now, though it looks like there should be showers
and thunderstorms around, primarily over the mountains, during
the afternoon and evening hours.

Critical fire weather conditions are not currently expected through
next week.

Afternoon ventilation rates will generally be good to excellent over
the entire district on Monday. However, a cold front may interfere
with rates over parts of the district on Tuesday. Some areas will
still see good to excellent ventilation but other areas will see
only poor ventilation.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
