Today will feature warm and dry conditions with highs mainly in the
low 60s as a ridge of high pressure shifts east into Minnesota this
afternoon. The strongest winds will be over central South Dakota,
increasing out of the south with gusts of 20 to 30 mph, in advance of
the next area of low pressure. Winds will remain light elsewhere.

Temperatures will fall to near 40 degrees by daybreak Saturday. Warmer
air will surge in from the south during the day Saturday, with highs
near 80 degrees. The area of low pressure to our west will shift
across eastern South Dakotas late Saturday afternoon, with only
slightly cooler air moving in Sunday. Well above normal
temperatures will continue through Tuesday.
