Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northwest California

.DISCUSSION...A strong ridge of high pressure continues to
amplify, causing dry weather and warming temperatures through the
extended forecast. Northerly to northeasterly winds will remain
gusty to strong into mid morning today, then begin decreasing
throughout the rest of the day. These winds will be strongest over
the highest ridges of far southern portions of zone 283, eastern
zone 277, and 264 where strong gusts over 60 mph can be expected
into this morning. Minimum RH values continue to drop to the low
20s to upper teens in these zones through that period. The warmest
interior valleys will reach the upper 80s with some low 90s late
in the week and through the weekend. Similar temperatures look to
redevelop next week .
