.DISCUSSION...
Rainfall totals across Greene County yesterday were less than
0.1", so with no additional precipitation forecast today, conditions
are likely to remain sufficiently dry. With LVORI forecast to max
out between 6 to 8 this morning, patchy dense fog is possible
through daybreak. Any fog that develops should dissipate between 9
and 10AM. Initially partly cloudy skies this morning will give
way to a mostly sunny to sunny afternoon. Minimum relative
humidity will drop to 35 to 38 percent by mid- afternoon. 20-ft
winds will be very light (4 mph or less) and variable. Transport
winds initially light out of the southwest this morning will shift
to the northwest at 6-8 mph by 11AM to noon. Under clearing skies,
mixing heights will max out between 6-7kft. Ventilation rates will
be poor owing to weak winds.
Overnight, rain chances (25 to 35 percent) will return between 3
and 4AM. and linger through the remainder of the day. Isolated to
scattered thunderstorms are possible, capable of producing gusty,
erratic winds and locally heavy rainfall. LVORI will be
sufficiently high once again on Friday morning (7-8), so cannot
rule out patchy dense fog development with increased moisture.
Rainfall totals between 0.25-0.3" are expected over the course of
the day. 20-ft winds will be west at 5-8 mph, and transport winds
will be 7-12 mph out of the same direction.
