Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central for Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
231 PM CDT Tue Apr 16 2024

...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM MDT/8 PM CDT
THIS EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...

Showers and a few thunderstorms will linger across central and western
Nebraska before moving off to the northeast and diminishing tonight.
It will also be quite windy with potential for gusts of 60 mph or higher
mainly sough of Hwy 2 before diminishing tonight.

Recent wetting rainfall, humidity well above critical levels, and cooler
temperatures behind passage of a cold front tomorrow will mitigate fire
weather concerns through the end of the week and into the weekend.
