Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
1045 PM MDT Sun Apr 14 2024

...A Red Flag Warning is in effect for portions of the area
for Monday from 9 AM TO 10 PM MDT...

.Discussion...

Monday will be the most widespread fire danger day of the
forecast period, with the strongest winds and the overall
driest conditions. Critical fire weather conditions are
expected over much of south central and southeast Colorado.

A cold front is set to arrive sometime Monday night or Tuesday,
which could bring a brief increase in humidity (and a possible
break from fire weather) for Tuesday for some areas, though it`s
looking like winds will be gusty enough that we could end up seeing
another round of critical fire fire weather on Tuesday as well,
at least for the southern I-25 corridor. Either way, Critical fire
weather conditions are likely to return for the second half of
this week.

Smoke dispersion is expected to be very good to excellent across
the area Monday and Tuesday.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
