Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
1131 AM MDT Wed Mar 27 2024

.Discussion...

Dry conditions are expected today through Saturday for most of the
district, with chances for isolated to scattered light snow showers
along the mountains. More widespread precipitation returns to the
district Sunday through Tuesday, with the greatest chances for
precipitation along the mountains.

Critical fire weather concerns area still expected to increase for
the later part of the week and through the weekend, as southwesterly
winds start to surge, and dry air pushes into the area. Near to
spotty critical fire weather conditions are expected Thursday and
Friday, mostly in the gap flow areas and for parts of the plains.
Critical fire weather conditions expand in coverage Saturday and
Sunday, with Sunday still looking to bring the most widespread
critical fire weather conditions across the plains.

Critical fire weather concerns begin to lessen Monday and Tuesday,
given a cold front passage and an increase in moisture with an
unsettled pattern.

Smoke dispersion rates today and tomorrow will be Good to Very Good
for much of the district.
