This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of west central
Texas.
.DAY ONE...Tonight
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop late this
afternoon and into the evening across the Heartland and Hill
Country, mainly southeast of a Brownwood to Brady to Junction
line. Any storm that does develop will have the potential of
reaching severe levels, with very large hail larger than golf
ball size possible. Damaging winds and dangerous lightning will
also be a threat.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday
More widespread showers and storms are possible this weekend
across West Central Texas. Some of these storms may drop pockets
of heavy rainfall across the area, rainfall that may be heavy
enough to produce brief flooding of low lying areas and city
streets. The main potential will be Saturday and will include
areas mainly east of an Abilene to San Angelo line.
Otherwise, dangerous lightning will also be possible from these
storms.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation may be requested late this afternoon across
areas of the Heartland and Hill Country.
