.DISCUSSION...
High pressure will result in dry conditions today with
increasing high clouds this afternoon from west to east.
Near critically low relative humidity values between
25 and 35% are anticipated this afternoon, especially in
the valleys below 1500 feet. Winds will be from the north
to northeast at 5 to 10 mph with localized higher gusts
in aligned valleys and exposed ridges. Temperatures will
warm into the mid 50s to lower 60s depending upon elevation
and aspect. Tonight clouds continue to thicken with light
rain showers developing over northern New York. These
showers will slowly spread into Vermont on Thursday,
but precipitation amounts will be light and generally
under a tenth of an inch. However, cooler temperatures
and higher humidity values are expected on Thursday.
