This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

Day 1 Discussion

Elevated to significant fire weather risk is expected to develop
this afternoon west of Highway 83 where south to southeast winds
will increase to 20 to 25 mph along with humidity falling to
15 to 20 percent.

* Fire weather: Significant risk

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Days 2-7 Discussion
-------------------
Severe weather risk will be present Sunday through Tuesday as
a fairly strong storm system will be entering the Rockies. The
increased wind shear and moisture, especially by Monday and
Tuesday, will lead to greater risk of severe weather hazards,
including very large hail, dangerous straight-line winds, and
even potentially a tornado risk.
