...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 AM CDT...

For the following areas...
Waters from  Intracoastal City to Cameron LA from 20 to 60 NM...
Waters from Lower Atchafalaya River to Intracoastal City LA from 20
to 60 NM...

At 1003 AM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over South Marsh
Island 99, or 65 nm south of Marsh Island, moving east at 30 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Eugene Island 224, South Marsh Island 78, South Marsh Island 69,
Vermilion 256, South Marsh Island 58, Eugene Island 243, Vermilion
250, South Marsh Island 99, Vermilion 252, South Marsh Island 76,
South Marsh Island 61 and Eugene Island 217.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
