...GALE FORCE WINDS EXPECTED FROM LATE THIS EVENING THROUGH
TUESDAY NIGHT...

.A low pressure system will move close to the waters tonight
through Wednesday, bringing strong winds and dangerous seas.
Southeast winds will increase to 25 to 35 knots with gusts as
high as 45 knots, spreading from south to north this evening and
peaking Tuesday. Seas will build to 10 to 16 feet. Winds and seas
will gradually diminish late Tuesday through Wednesday.

The National Weather Service in Newport/Morehead City has issued
a Gale Warning, which is in effect from 4 AM to 4 PM EDT Tuesday.
The Small Craft Advisory is no longer in effect.

* WINDS...Southeast 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt.

* WAVES...Rough.

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
