...Straight Line Winds Caused Damage West of Hillsville on Thursday
April 11...

Today, the National Weather Service conducted a storm survey of the
wind damage from Thursday, April 11, just west of Hillsville, VA in
the region of Old Galax Pike. The survey concluded the damage was
consistent with that of damaging straight line winds, not a tornado.
The National Weather Service would like to thank the Carroll County
Emergency Manager for his assistance of providing pictures of the
damage.
