...HIGH WIND WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THURSDAY TO 10 PM AKST
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...East winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.

* WHERE...Delta Junction.

* WHEN...From 9 AM Thursday to 10 PM AKST Friday.

* IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property and
  cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for
  high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong winds may result in periods of
  significant blowing and drifting snow. Visibility may drop as low
  as 1/4 mile at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around
or damaged by the wind.

...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM AKST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 70 below.

* WHERE...South Slopes of The Central Brooks Range and South Slopes
  Of The Eastern Brooks Range.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM AKST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 70 below zero
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 5 minutes.

Additional Details: The winds are very light, but temperatures are
cold enough that even light winds can cause dangerous wind chills.
Temperatures will rise Thursday gradually improving conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
