GLADES AND HENDRY COUNTIES...

* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory Most of South Florida, very
  cold wind chills as low as 26 expected. For the Freeze Warning
  Glades and hendry counties, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30
  expected.

* WHERE...Glades and Hendry Counties.

* WHEN...From 3 AM to 9 AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with
  prolonged exposure. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops,
  other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
  plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to
drip slowly.
