Fire Weather Planning Forecast For CEN/ERN VA...NE NC...MD ERN SHORE
National Weather Service WAKEFIELD VA
826 AM EDT Tue Apr 23 2024

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure builds over the area this morning, then slides off
the coast by this evening. Min RH values drop to around 25 to 30%
this afternoon for much of the area away from the coast (35 to
40% closer to the coast). Winds will be out of the S to SW,
averaging around 10 mph, with gusts to 15 to 20 mph. A cold front
swings through the region on Wednesday, bringing the potential for
scattered rain showers or sprinkles. High pressure and dry
conditions return for Thursday and Friday, with warmer conditions
ahead for the upcoming weekend.
