...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 6 AM MDT EARLY THIS
MORNING...

The blowing snow threat has diminished this morning. However,
motorists may still encounter brief periods of reduced visibility
due to strong winds and snow showers for the morning commute, and
roads may be slushy. The precipitation is expected to turn back over
to all rain by mid morning.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON MDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations between 12 and 24
  inches expected, with locally higher amounts over favored north
  facing slopes.

* WHERE...In Montana, Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains, Crazy Mountains,
  and Pryor/Northern Bighorn Mountains. In Wyoming, Northeast
  Bighorn Mountains.

* WHEN...Until noon MDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Recreation in the high country will be impacted by heavy
  accumulating snow. Travel will be very difficult to impossible.
  Widespread blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heavy snow will continue today through
  tonight before decreasing Thursday morning. Significant snowfall
  is expected with many areas getting at least 1 or 2 feet on north
  facing slopes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. For the latest road
conditions, call 5 1 1.
