...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN CRAWFORD AND
SOUTHWESTERN BARTON COUNTIES THROUGH 800 PM CDT...

At 708 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Scammon, or near Columbus, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pittsburg, Prairie State Park, Frontenac, Arma, Liberal, Cherokee,
Mulberry, Chicopee, Mindenmines, Franklin, Burgess, Opolis,
Croweburg, Yale, Ringo, and Lone Oak.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
