.DISCUSSION...Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop
this afternoon and through the overnight as a cold front moves
through the region. A few of the storms, especially across the Rio
Grande Plains and western Brush Country, or roughly west of
Highway 281, may become strong to severe at times. Weak to
occasionally breezy southeast flow today will become northerly
tonight and Thursday behind the front. A weak northeast wind
will maintain a dry air mass over the region on Friday behind a
weak cold front. Winds will become onshore flow Friday night.
Southeast winds will increase to a moderate levels on Sunday.
Moisture will increase early next week as low level flow
strengthens. Isolated showers or storms will be possible Monday
into Tuesday. No elevated or critical fire weather conditions are
expected at this time.
